The Tantalizing Taste of Buttermilk Fried Lobster from Carolina's Kitchen
There’s a reason why I don’t like chain restaurants, you never really get the same dining experience at each location. However, having dined at Carolina’s Kitchen’s Hyattsville location and thus enjoyed the food, I decided to try out their location at the Rhode Island Metro station.
While they lacked in overall service, they definitely made up in overall taste and presentation. Once I was finally seated, I browsed the menu and saw they offered buttermilk fried lobster. The seafood lover in me knew that I just had to try out their fried lobster. If you remember reading my last blog post, I first tried fried lobster at District Oyster Bar.
Whew chile let me tell you, the lobster tails at Carolina’s Kitchen , which were deep fried in a buttermilk batter were so damn good!. The lobster meat was incredibly moist and tender. Total perfection . It was full of flavor and zest. The dish itself was served with buttermilk fried shrimp and fries, paired with two tangy sauces.
Surprisingly though, the two complimentary cinnamon cornbread muffins they served was the star of the show. The chef gave that cornbread so much love. It was served on a plate of melted butter. The cornbread practically melted in your mouth.
it was serisouly the best cornbread I’ve ever eaten in my entire life and I’ve eaten tons of cornbread cooked in multitude of ways. It’s something you would literally nibble on a night.
While the service itself was pretty blah, I would definitely dine their again even if it meant opting for a carry-out. Trust me, that buttermilk fried lobster and cinnamon cornbread makes it truly worth it.
Before you leave tell me if you’ve ever tasted fried lobster. How did you like it? Leave a comment and let me know. Until next time!
