Recap of Vive L'Espresso With Grey Goose and Culture Coffee Too
Hey It’s Me Shanie! Today I’m here to give you the deets about the magical evening I had last Saturday at Culture Coffee Too. Oh where shall I begin!
Magic is what happens when you mix Grey Goose Vodka and Espresso. This past Saturday, I had the pleasure of attending a private cocktail making event hosted by Culture Coffee Too. Ms. V, the owner of Culture Culture Too, partnered with Grey Goose Ambassador Earlecia Richelle to offer the ultimate martini making experience.
Not only did we have the opportunity to make a fascinating martini, we also learned a little more in-depth information about coffee flavors from Andra “Aj” Johnson, who’s the Co-Founder of DMV Black Restaurant Week.
There are so many different flavor profiles for coffee, some that I’m sure a lot of people wouldn’t think about. Some of the common fruit flavors of coffee include: citrus, apple/pear, melon, grape, tropical fruit, stone fruit, berry, and dried fruit. I personally never would have guessed that coffee would have a fruit profile, but as the saying goes “you learn something new everyday”.
After our short course on coffee it was time to make the actual martini. The brochure that we received actually had a total of 4 martinis, we made the signature Vive L’Espresso Martini. A blend of freshly made espresso, premium coffee liqueur and of course Grey Goose Vodka.
1 1/1 parts Grey Goose Vodka
1 part single origin espresson
3/4 part premium coffee liqueur
Pinch of flour de sel
The martin was surprisingly very good. I’m personally more of a dark liquor type of gal, but this martini definitely gave me something new to look forward to the next time I hit happy hour.
At the end of the day, I laughed, I danced (albeit in my chair lol), and I connected with some amazing participants at the event. I walked alway with a newfound love of both vodka and espresso, not to mention an exuberant feeling of happiness from the great time I had.
